What to Expect at Your Visit

We've designed our process to give you as much information as possible about your horse so you can make informed decisions based on what makes sense for you and your horse.

01

Scheduling & Arrival

We will give you an arrival window with text notification when we are 30 minutes away.

02

Initial Consultation

Dr. Lin will discuss your horse's medical history and concerns for the appointment with you while her assistant sets up the equipment.

03

Exam Location

Your appointment will occur in your barn in a stall with shavings, the wash stall, or a run-in shed.

04

Sedation

Most patients receive standing sedation for their comfort and safety and to permit a thorough examination.

05

Treatment Plan

After Dr. Lin performs an exam she will discuss the findings with you or your trainer. She will perform the agreed-upon treatment plan on-site if appropriate.

06

Recovery & Follow-up

Most horses recover from routine sedation within the hour and can return to their regular routine. Dr. Lin will share findings and follow-up instructions with you, your regular veterinarian, and anyone else you specify.
